Dual Display Problem

I run ( or used to ) two monitors, helps with having all my palettes on the right hand monitor and leaves the left one clear to work on, whether radiant, photoshop etc...

My right hand monitor fried itself the other night, it had been good and lasted years, poor thing.

So I go to my graphics card settings and switch it from dual display to single, so now my machine should run normally with only one monitor.

Everything in radiant is fine, all palettes are back on the one monitor.

Photoshop however is being bad. I went to view/reset palette locations, worked fine. Was working then hit ctrl+L to bring up my levels palette, it still lives on the right hand monitor even though there isnt one :(

I reinstalled pshop, removed pshop from the registry, reinstalled again, still the same thing :( I did notice that it was still seeing my recent work in the recent files list, so I couldnt have completely removed it from registry.

Anyone have any idea how I can sort this out, also Winzip is still living on the right hand monitor, what a pain :(

With my dual monitor situation, I had to restore-down (or the middle button between the minimize and close) and drag the application to the
other monitor, then restore-up and it tagged it to the monitor that you restore-up to. I hope this isnt too confusing the way I am explaining it.
Anyway you may have to borrow another monitor just to get this fixed.
I know what you mean by pain in the rear. That is why I still run two.

dont know if this would work with a sub window . but i had something like it ,i was trying another monitor as well (actually it was a TV,and it stopped working someway thru) .and i kinda put some important stuff there .

so i kept alt+tab'ing it until i got it .
then alt+space (opens a small menu that has move in it) .
clicked the shortcut for move (M) .that made me go into move mode .
cliecked space to actually select the window and moved it by keyboard arrows until it got onto the default screen .
dont know if that helps .
return everything to 2 views again .
run the program ,
then take screen number 1 ,and connected instead of 2 .
now u wont see the main program and all the stuff on the 1st screen .but u will see the stuff that should be on the second .simply move them off ur screen (theoritically into the other one)

Woohoo !

Thanks M, never knew I could move stuff with the arrow keys, had to plug the monitor in different sockets to get the photoshop stuff back, just didnt even enter my mind to do that :)

Thanks Ziptie too.
