i use context, made a highlighter for it, helps when im looking at other peoples scripts, cause everything is color coded so im familiar with it and can easily find certain things. Notepad kinda annoys me, tho i use that for shaders and urc's.

oh yea, i think there is also a glitch in context(least the build I have) but I am not positive. It shouldnt effect too many people, but those with unstable computers might do well to note, that once when my computer crashed while context was open it blanked the file. I logged back into the computer and the file was empty. In this case, I was editing my php blocks for website, so no bother really, just got it back through ftp... never seen that happen before, but it did happen once =)

i use it cause i like the highlighter, especialy when trying to decipher complex scripts like the mefy ones. Most people just use notepad I think. Highlighters keep my typos to a minimum too, but mostly it jsut depends what you like. That bug(if it is a recurring one) could be a big deal in context, but for me its not much of a problem, cause by the time im making a script for a map, I already have a working pk3. First thing I do is get together some custom textures I know I will be wanting, and package them with a shader etc... I dont test maps in the dm folder like I think many people do, I find it easier just to make pk3's that I can replace, thus I almost always have a very recent version of my script in an archive, so if it did get deleted it doesnt much bug me.
sicne that bug happened tho, I wouldnt recommend context at the moment to anyone who doesnt back up thier scripts in some manner while they are being worked on hehe. It doesnt come with a highlighter for .scr(at least it didnt when i got it) I made one tho, not complete but has most things highlighted.
oh one other thing about context, I wouldnt recommend checkign the box on install that sets context to replace notepad =p I know most people wouldnt anyway, but I felt like messing with it, and it was actualy kind of annoying to reset back to default, eventualy i got notepad to work properly again, but for a week or so there it didnt want to work ^^
If you like using notepad, its the easiest program.
