how can i use my own made tekstures for my maps?

i need to make some signs and other stuff.

In radiant? Shift + click should do it...

if u are doing a shift+click and it still doesnt work (this is what happened to lizardkid,and he didnt post the solution

) then u must have changed one of the toolbar items .check the one that looks like a ruler .if that doesnt make it work ,then try playing with them all .im not sure which one but i am sure its there .im 60% sure its the ruler thingy

yes and i've made sure all my settings are the same as in the radient i have that does work (other comp) and it still doesn't register with this stupid radient that i want to be able to select them.

btw its not the ruler.

There is a button on the toolbar with the word model on it and a red x . Make sure that button is not pressed and you will be able to select models .
