Which would be your choice?

I voted 'I can't stand either'. Bush is a madman and Kerry is
way too proud of his "heroic" actions in Vietnam (or his contribution to the death of millions of Vietnamese people

)... if I
had to choose I'd vote for Kerry though
yay 4800th post

finally

I don't know what kind of advertising you have seen but I don't see Kerry being proud of what he did on Vietnam...
And, his best quality;......he's NOT Bush

You contradict yourself. You prefer bush, but he is the one bashing Kerry's record. What slander has Kerry thrown at bush?

I don't agree with everything Bush's done but I think it beats no action at all, which I believe the Democrates are known for, anyway the last Democrate in office was a huge embarressment to the USA.
"Hey Monica, you like cigars?

he could spell cigar tho.
and monica.
and he could have gotten elected t o two more terms if it wasnt limited. And THAT is what really burns republicans, because THEY KNOW IT.

Its funny because I would say that for all Clinton's faults, hes still less of an embarassment to the US than Bush is. Look at things such as the Enron scandel, Iraq's "weapons of Mass Destraction", the US Presidential Election (Democracy comes good when the man with least votes wins), the upside down book incident, the "oops i've forgotton to take the lens caps off these binoculars but can still "see"...... the guy is a joke.......
Coming from the UK it is a little wierd to see how every US president gets judged on whether he fought in any wars or not, especially Vietnam... especially because Nam has always been a sore point with many American's i know, even though it happened 40 years ago...
I have to say I favour Kerry. I never wanted Bush in the White House (not that I had the choice) in the first place. Its true that Kerry has played the "hero" role, but in politics its all about presenting your candidate in the best possible light, whilst "assassinating" the other side..... Thats something the Republican's seem to be really keen on - not debating the issues........

Bush: quite frankly, he seems a bit... er... thick. either that or he's doing it deliberately.
Kerry: why the hell does being a good brave, soldier, make you a good, decisive, strategic president?
can't stand either...

It has nothing to do with being a decisive leader, and heres the thing - Kerry NEVER EVER said it did. You are going on propaganda caused by the leftove3rs of the first great public US debacle - Vietnam.
I dont get why your beating in the ground this notion that kerry(who I personaly dont like much either) is running on a platform - 'I was a war here'
clinton didnt go to vietnam - that was a huge story for 8 years, because republicans will ALWAYS bring up the war record if the person is old enough have been in vietnam. Bush also did not go to vietnam, because he was rich enough not to. Bush knows this sucks for him now. I mean, hes the republican, he should be the war hero. So even BEFORE Kerry won the nomination, the propaganda machine was busy showing pictures of him at a peace rally with Jane Fonda, trying to prove that he was not a war hero, that he was a 'traitor' not only to soldiers but to the government etc. This thing has all snowballed from the efforts of people to discredit him BECAUSE bush DIDNT go to war.
yet apparently, everyone has bought into the propaganda machine hook line and sinker from some of these posts =p
I dont like kerry cause... well he is a bit robotic. Hes very smart and all - but fairly dull in public so far. =)

Hogleg, lemme tell u something, m8:
The 8 years of Clinton was the best years I've seen on this country. So, imho, he can s***, f***, whoever he wants ,he can even give his a**, I don't mind even if he's gay...As long as you do a good job, everything is fine for me...
Btw, his speech at the democratic convention was amazing...
Another 4 years of bush and this country will go to a complete mess...

The only problem with that is he was a puppet, just be passive, smaile real big ....uhg he always reminded me of a game show host.
The Reagen years were good too, if you remember. Any President that is trying to make vast changes in the world is frowned on because you can't always please everyone plus who are we to make these global changes?
Kennedy is a good example lots of people hated him because he was the man that was going to start ww3.
The only man I would trust in office is Ross Perot. No really, Im not kidding.
Stop laughing!
He's been banned from the Skull & Bones Society.

....I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing
Again: puppet, gay, sado, etc...: I don't mind: He did a good job! He left the biggest surplus of history to bush, who turned into the biggest deficit of history. I can't wait to kick him back to your state

(no offense)
Reagan did a good job too, not too good as Clinton, but it was good indeed.
About Kennedy starts the ww3....I never heard anything about this. Actualy, I remember a tape recording released w/ a conversation between JFK and some guys...the guys wanted to go to war and he said to wait..but, if you say so...

the cuban missile crisis is the closest we have gotten to world war III - but stories about the highest level details of what went on are mixed.
