Spotlights on the wall show 'squares' (Screenshot enclosed)

I have the following problem.

If I make a Spotlight, then this occurs what is on the screenshots below. The spotlights show 'squares' and I don't think that's normal and could be much nicer. I create a spotlight using func_light. The Entity information window then shows this when I'm done:

angles: 90 0 0
classname: light
light: 900
origin: 382 1192 428 (irrelevant)

Then I compile the map:
Here you can find the output of that log

I compile using these programs:
C:/aMap/q3map -gamedir d:progra~1/mohaa c:/aMap/testro
C:/aMap/q3map -vis -gamedir d:progra~1/mohaa c:/aMap/testro
C:/aMap/mohlight -gamedir d:progra~1/mohaa c:/aMap/testro

I really hope that someone can solve this...

Why don't u use Mbuilder for ur compiler?

real dynamic lighting

That is only partly to do with compiling. Mostly, it is the settings you have in your game. If you turn on real dynamic lighting it will greatly improve the light you see--tradeoff in preformance.

But, you can also change the properties of the wall texture with Key S. Try changing the "Intensity" value for that face of the wall--or is it Density? Anyway, upping those also have prefomance costs.

Not using "angle" will also make it look more rounded, but then it is not a spotlight.

Do the light compile with -final, like:

C:/aMap/mohlight.exe -final -gamedir d:progra~1/mohaa c:/aMap/testro

Will take a bit longer though :(

8-)
