i read thru wackos topic about something invisible in his way, i think i may have a similar thing, but i have no models or entities near this spot that it occurs.
when im inside this area the entities around outside the box go invisible.
using tris u can see the box but it doesnt stay still, it moves with u until u get to a certain point and then it goes away.
its also causing a huge shadow on the ground and ceiling.
i looked in radiant n double checked my filters but theres nothing there.
one thing i know, i was messing with an exploder around there with some patches a while back and it went a bit mad so i deleted all of it, however it seems something may have stayed around.
please help ive at the end of this map and this is the only thing that is holding me back grrrrrrrrrrrr
thx

If you can see it in tris2, then there is a way to turn on entity numbers. In the leveldesign menu, click on "entnum". If you can get its number you can find it in radient or in wordpad and remove/delete it from the .map file.

tried what u said tom but nothing happens when i select entnums, but i did find a little shard of a brush in the map that was in that area so i deleted it, and i made the floor into a few seperate floors.....
now there is 2 of those mysterious boxes and some of my brsuehs are gone (still there in radiant) some of the textures are now acting like caulk, and when i move about i get the hall of mirrors.
little more about the boxes, they look to extent to the ceiling, maybe wrong. and they fiollow u around until u reach a point and then disapear. they even move up when u jump.
wtf is this about its completly fucked up.

You have brushes with degenerate planes. CSG subtract is great for creating them. But, you can create them yourself by clipping a brush without having the endpoints aligned on the grid. They can be very difficult to find, since their physical size and shape often doesn't match what is rendered in the game. You can try finding them with Bob's tools, but that may not work.

Blar14 is probably right, only degenerate planes should be reported in the compile logs.
For the buttons to work in the leveldesign menu, the cheats have to be on. Using the 3rd person view button might help you see it better.
