pc got some problems

Post by At0miC »

My pc got a disturbance, it,s starting automaticly, even when it is off. so i need to pullout the plug from the socket, or else it will starting by its self.
and its restarting all the time. Some times i can start he pc by myself and sometimes the on/off buttom of the pc doesnt react. but it is restarting or shutting down all the time.
Its not a virus, becuase its starting when it is off. i think its a disturbance in the hardware.

normaly its resetting every 5 secs, and when i have some luck, i can use the pc for 5 minutes before its shutting down by its self. the pc will also be down a lot, its not restarting, or i cant start it, but soon or later, it will start again

any suggestions?

Sounds like hardware. Try checking the power button connections.
Might hav to resolder the connections.

Maybe the motherboard or cpu are overheating? Try checking their temperatures and make sure the case fan and cpu fan spin.

Yea, I think it's overheating, the PC has been cooled down for 8 hours, and it's working perfect for now. If this will happen again, I'm going to check the temp. Yes, the fans are spinning, I'm not sure about the CPU fan, it's making a different noise the last time, maybe it is worn out a bit. It's spinning with 5000 rpm now, dunno if that is normal? for a 1.9 Ghz CPU

Thnx for the suggestions

bootlog

There should be a file named "bootlog.txt" that may say why it is shutting down.

Also, open up the computer and make sure the air can flow around the big cpu chip and the power supply--there may be dirt blocking it. It is normal for those little fans to go bad after a year or so. If you can tell which one is making the noise, replace it.

Yea, I already opened it to remove some dusk, but I still got the problem, I'm sure it's overheating in th CPU or in the power emitter, because when the PC is cooled down it works fine, but after some ours the PC willdo the strange thing, so it mustbe heating. But the cpu fan makes the different noise.
