like modelling progs?

the one i just d/led and REALLY like is gmax. it's like the $60 3Dstudiomax but since you can't render it's free. in others words it has little skining support but that's easily changed. you can also animate in it!

there is an excellent one, anims/modelling, and it has its own game engine, and mapping tools, it is free aswell!

i tried checking the site but its too large !! a flash site with 983.9 kbs !!!(im on a 56kbs !!)
and couldnt find the forums so i lost interest

no i wouldn't go G-Max its crappy apparently. a mock of 3dsMax imho. Blender is very good. Zmodeller aswell, though i would sayy Blender.

of course if you got 6 grand knockin around go 3dsMax. But from $30 proce u sed, unless you are very lucky and won the lottery, i think Blender should be the best bet.

gmax is basically 3dsmax from what i;ve heard, same exact junk in it, maybe a few missing tools that noobs will never use, but i find it adequate.
