cylinders

Post by Wheat »

I was wonderin if anyone knew if it would be easier on fps if I used the primative cylinder instead of the brushes of equal size. THe area I am thinking of is faily massive. And, in some areas it takes more then one brush to make the shape. I'm guessing that the cylinder will be easier on fps, but I will probably sacrafice my vis?

A cylider will be LOD-ed (less triangles whn further away).
But it will be harder to draw when it is really close.
I'd use a cylinder and set it to a lower complexity...
( as for VIS blocking: a barrel should be detailed as it will not block vis in any efffective way )
