AI Tigers in MP maps...possible?

Jv, surely a question for you.... I hope. Anyone else?
For my Tractor Works map, again. I was toying with not only Stuka's scripted to bomb the Allied spawns until shot down, but also to give the Germans two or three Pz IVs or Tigers. I saw the general Tank tut posted earlier and seems like that 'might' work.
Do you think it would be possible to say make four or five paths that the tank(s) would use a random seed to follow. They would pause a random amount of time at various nodes, waiting for infantry to follow up say... not that they would know it. Anyway, at the pause points I thought of scripting in...somehow, having them fire at pre-determined target areas, then moving forward again.
Guess my questions are: Think it will work? Will it be bad frame lag? Will the tanks see 'Allied' players and target them?
