Mud

Hi all!
I have a subterranean hallway in my map, and the floor is mud-textured.
Also I have made a thin brush all over it with common/mud. When I shoot to the ground the debris is ok, there is mud splashing.
But when I walk over it I guess it should sound like the trenches in Omaha Beach, and it does not. Is there a way to get that squish mud sound effect?

there is a neat thing called a .shader file that takes care of all the effects for u, i dont think you need to mudclip it.

The game can't tell which surface to use for the sounds because they are so close together. Try overlapping the floor brush with the mud brush.

Thank you guys for your replies.
I thought it would be nice to mudclip it because the mud debris comin out of a shot over the surface is cool, and I also thought it would sound like mud, like other clips do (wood, metal...). I will try both things, removing the mud clip brush and if it does not work, overlapping like tltrude said.
I will tell you if it works (or if it does not)

Mmm still doesn't work...
Maybe the texture is not that one. I will search all over texture families and try all the mud ones.

I don't think the mud texture is a see-through texture. If that is the case, then just cut the floor brush to fit that hall and then texture it with the mud texture. In other words, just use one brush.

Well from the beginning the floor was made with one single brush, caulked except for the visible face, textured with a mud texture (don't remember the exact name but if you type mud in the search area, it's the one that looks darker, the one at the trenches in omaha beach).
Then I covered the floor brush with a clone filled with common/mudclip texture (which is translucent, orange with green letters). It made no difference. Last night I was testing this and the same sound comes from stepping over it with or without the mudclip. Also the same mud debris come out when you shoot at it.
I aslo tested all textures with the name mud (the ones that come out of a search in radiant), and the result was the same, no squish sound. I am sure there must be a way! Take a look at Omaha, walk over the trenches, you will notice that sound

What about putting nodraw on the faces that you can't see instead of caulk . Caulk on the sides of a water brush will make the water brush solid not like water any more but nodraw keeps the brush acting like water . Nodraw seems to keep the properties of the texture on the one textured side .

OH Maybe that is the key!!
If you think the Mud texture is like water then I would have to check the boxes non-solid and maybe water from the texture properties window.

There is a mud floor at the bottom of the well in my "door2" tutorial map. You can get that map by clicking on my signature logo. Is that the texture you are using?

That was not the kind of mud I was looking for, but don't worry. I will be covering the ground with brown water.
