Flying Trucks ?? Huh You ask?

I wrote a little script, much the same as the exploder.scr, but you can specify where you want the model to move to, and at which angle it will be. The script then calculates the movement, over the number of frames you specify.

The truck can be made to explode, then do a semi cartwheel, over onto it's roof, in say 45 frames. OR A truck (train) can be made to move along a path?

The script still needs some modifications, and i will post it soon, or you can just rip it out of my map when i upload it.

I may upload it sooner, if loooootttsssssss of people want to look at it !

Toby,

It is an update to my map i sent to you, almost completed, just adding the objectives, and adjusting layout,

Will make a small map this weekend and upload that, for everyone to check out ! Remember, this is still in test stage, but i Have three trucks, when the middle one blows up, it rolls onto it's side, the right hand truck( facing forward) truck slides to a new rotational angle, and the left hand truck is rolled backwards approx 40 feet ( 13 metres) turning slightly, then hitting a tree...........I have to work out how the truck can run someone over, and kill them , otherwise it will be like bill murray in scrooge, The truck will go right thru you !


I will copy selections to a new map, and put my script into a seperate .scr file for easy distribution...... as a demo..... for now, once the bugs are worked out. Have to comment the script, so others can modify, it if needed ?

you mean the one where the bomb appears and then u blow up the 2 trucks? That was cool like that, can't wait to see the 'improved' version! :D

Ok.

The file is HERE

The garagetruck.zip file has the garagetruck.map file for an example
as well as garagetruck.pk3, the compiled map, with the script files included (of course).

The global/wombat_moveit.scr has an extensive description in it...
Hope it is easy for everyone to understand :lol:

The map also uses the health feature of the trigger_multiple, and grenades will blow it up, but not rockets ?? :?:

I changed the script so the middle truck now flys over it's rear axle, and lands on it's roof

Your Welcome..........

Realism is the key, makes it more fun to play, setup the damage trigger around the truck, set health to say 2000, and shoot the truck enough and bang..... hehehehe

now what do i do next ??
Apart from reinstall mohaa and start again, (HDRIVE crash, 40gig WD))
still have the script on the site though....

Should it be a tutorial / guide ?
