caulk
This is something I have wondered about for a while. If ur going to make a building or house that ur not going to go in, a shell, why not leave it one big block of caulk and just carve ur exterior into it. Why build it with 6 walls.

It is better for vis if it is a solid block. But, it depends on how real you want the outside of the building to look. A flat wall with one texture may not look good if a player was standing right next to it. windows and doors would not be indented. You can still bevel the roof, but there would be no overhagging eves.
Here is an example of a solid brush building. It looks ok, because the players can't walk up to it. Actually, this building moves, ha ha.

There are really about 14 solid blocks in it, and they are all caulk textured--except the faces players can see. Hmmm, I just noticed I have a brick building sitting on a wooden platform--not very realistic!
