Hey guys, i have a question which you may or may not know.

I want to delete a whole part of a map but part of the map has a mesh road/surface, when i select the area i want to delete radient crashes.

Is there a way to split up the mesh area and delete individually or delete the area i want without radient crashing on me.

I have tried hiding the area using caulk but can see grey plus not good for FPS, anyone got ideas.

Thanks

Does it crash when you select? Or does it crash when you hit backspace key to delete? If it crashes when you select then you may have a memory issue (not enough). If crashing when you hit delete then make sure there is no LOD terrain selected too. Use the fileters and filter out LOD terrain if any and then try again.

You can select 512 X 512 patches of LOD Terrain by holding down Ctrl and Shift while you click on them. They should turn white. Then you go to the LOD menu and click on "Detach selected patches". Now you can delete them.

This wont work for a road made of patch mesh. You will just have to delete the road and make a shorter one, or adjust its verticies (key V).

Or reduce the complexity of the mesh.
