Everytime I try to add an AI character to a map, radiant crashes. Now this normally wouldn't be an issue with me, but I'm going through and re-making my very first map. There are TONS of texturing mistakes and errors I didn't even know of when I made it - I'm sure all of you have realized this apon looking at your very first. It's proving quite a challenge. But anyways, to the matter at hand. My radiant crashes when AI is loading. I have AI in my first map I made, and I can't get to the area where they are because they try to load, and ultimately crash.
I have spearhead installed - could it be something conflicting within aa and sh? Or is it another problem? And if needed can I rid of the AI in the .map in notepad? If so what's the tag of the AI models so I can aprehend these fiends called AI and destroy them! :p
Thank you for any help!
AI crashes radiant

Re: .map
sorry that's what I meant by opening it in notepad.. I need to know the line to find to delete it, or is it fairly obvious? I overloaded the map w/ static models when I made it. could be difficult to find the AI buried in that until I clear up the static.. witch I can't do because AI crashes the map :ptltrude wrote:The .map file can be opened/modified with Wordpad.
*edit* Okay I went through the .map in notepad, deleted the AI codes and the map no longer crashes But I would like this problem resolved so i can put them back later - is this possible?
What verson of mohradiant are you useing the one from the SDK? If you use the one that came with mohaa tools then it will crash if you try to load the ai from spearhead . I use the SDK version of mohradiant for both aa maps and spearhead maps . I just keep the compilers for aa in a different directory from the ones for spearhead . When I make maps for aa I rename the spearhead directory to xmainta so that the spearhead models don't show up in mohradiant ..
