Single Player MOHAA Map

Post by SamOwens »

Where is the tutorial that explains how to make a SP map that has sound?

If I make a map and compile it to be SP using MBuilder there is no sound.

Thanks,

Sam Owens

I'm pretty sure this has been asked and answered but I'm tired of searching today :-)

If the name of your map starts with the word "test", you will have sound.

Thanks Tom,

I've been asking several questions on several topics at several boards and it's nice to get a straight answer.

Is there a FAQ on required facets of SP editing. I'm sure SP maps
don't have to all be finnaly named testsomething.

Thanks again!

Be sure in Mbuilder you set it to SP compile.

yes the idea with SP maps is taht because there's so many sounds that can be loaded and played they decided against always putting them alli nthere. test_mymapname loads all sounds. really slow load tho, easy to make work, but not good for end products.
or you can make a precache map script with only the sounds you need iin it  theres a tut around here on that.

These maps I have aree time stamped 5/2002 so not that long but long enough
