Beginning Mapper

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to stop by and post a little something on my thoughts. First of all, I just LOVE MOH and MOH:Spearhead. However, I find it increasingly frustrating trying to create my own maps. The tutorials are great but, too often they are few and far between. Being an avid gamer, all I want to do is make some really cool maps. Alas, I can't because the MOHRadiant program is not that user friendly and there aren't enough tutorials to really help me out in this area. I find it incredible disconcerting that a better map building program that is user friendly and is actually supported hasn't been published yet. It's really a let down for those of us newbie mappers who just can't seem to get MOHRadiant and are just about to give up on the whole "make your own map" routine. I've tried on numerous occasions to make a map, only to end up with the same stupid room that the Getting Started tutorial shows you. I just hope someone out there understands what I'm going through and lets me know just how wonderful map building can be; I'm starting to lose faith in the idea altogether.
Well, that's enough ranting. I'm closing MOHRadiant again for the night because I'm just too frustrated to go on.
