That's not a WW2 movie.

I have to say Band of Brothers. Ambrose did a real good job with the interviews and basing the story off of them.

A nice classic is Kelly's Heroes. It's kinda long, but worth watching once.

Enemy at the Gates shows the intensity of Operation Barbarossa. They did a good job at showing how Russia's military worked.

Spielberg did a really great job at re-creating the Normandy Beach invasion at Omaha.

There are many great WW2 movies out there for different reasons. They all show different points of view from different countries and different regiments and such.

I love Kelly's Heroes ( one where they steal the gold right ? )

Das Boot, bob and spr ( obviously )

A bridge too far is great ( im reading the book on the train to work )

I saw one on an afternoon off work, no clue what it was called, about the US Navy, 4 or 5 brothers signed up and all were on the same ship, all died, im pretty sure it was a true story.

I also quite liked Windtalkers, nice battle scenes.

Longest day is cool, when they walk past the enemy the other side of the wall and no one notices, cool.

Enemy at the gates was alright. until the ending. The ending was so historically inaccurate (watching the movie, i was WAITING to see how they would finish it off..) anyhoo.. the ending blew. I didnt like it that much...

Saving Private Ryan most likely. THan there is an old black and white one, (forget the name!) where the guy comes from deep in the woods, becomes a sharp shooter, kills some nazis, captures a lot singly handedly... i thought that was a great flick. I believe the actors name was Cooper or something. but ya.

Das Boot was also good. Along with u571. The BoB series was pretty good, i dont think i would buy it though...

Oh yea and I must add "Soldaat van Oranje" a Dutch movie.
(Soldier of Orange)

I wonder if it ever made it outside of this country.
