A transition from textures to wireframe.
Like in MJ's logo.

Hmm.. you could take a screenshot of the solid piece, take a screenshot of the wireframe piece, open up Photoshop and have each screenshot on a different layer... than fade/blend the layers at the desired point. I'm not sure if that's how they do it, but that is how i would do it.

I cheated slightly...

Took two screens from same place blah blah, and made the showtris one into a pattern for the brush (like a paintable on texture... put it in the patterns folder id psp8 files, i did) And just applied it as if it were... red paint :)

And it kinda worked....

How do you get a wireframe view?
I couldn't find a showtris option.
I saw show patches as wireframe....and render quality/wireframe???

I can do this technique in a few seconds with photoshop,

I would use a layer mask, it kinda works the same as a targa alpha channel, have both images on seperate layers, then add a layer mask to the top layer, then fill the mask with a black to white gradient, it would blend the layers perfectly.

You can find the add layer mask button at the bottom of your layers palette, a circle inside a rectangle, or just hover over the buttons for a pop out description.

im sure its a very similar process for paintshop.

edit: to paint your gradient on the mask you will see in your layers pallete the layer you want to edit, theres a thumbnail on the left and on the right will be a white or black rectangle, you need to click this rectangle to activate the mask, then paint your gradient on it.

I emailed the guy who made those pics and he said he did it alot like Cheetos said he did. He said he used a blend tool at the transition point or was it a fade tool... anyway Ive got a good idea how to do it now.

thx ya'll
