Whats your opinions. Thanks

This has not been discussed many times, but no one in the world can give you a good tip on the best 3d modeling program. There are clans out there for maya, and 3dsmax. Both sware that their program is the best program. But it is up to you to decide.
Here is a small tip:

I've seen this topic discussed on many 3d site forums. They go on to talk about how there isnt one specific program that is the best. It's totally up to the user as to which that they use. So it's really up to you whether you use Maya, 3DSMax, or even Gmax. Which ever program that suits you is the one you should use.

Blender (
http://www.blender3d.com/ ) is opensource ( free to use ) and from what I understand a very competent 3D modeler.
I'm told that it compares more to Maya / 3D Studio than the lesser modelers. But I'm a programmer, what do I know

Thanks for the input, I think ill stick with maya for now, because its what i know best, but it seems there is only a skd coverter for milkshape only?
If you know of a program that will make mayaascii , ma or mb to skd or maybe ill just have to start learning milkshape.
Thanks

What version of Maya are you using Snipes? I myself am using Maya 6, and there is an exporter for *obj files. Which Milkshape can import.
