Need help to shift shine...

Post by Mj »

I have a corona, with a $targetname of: shine1

I am trying to get it to loop around 12 splinepaths

shinepath >> t1 >> t2 >> t3 >>ect. ect. to t11 >> shinepath

[>> = target]

I am using:

shine:

$shine1 moveto $shinepath 200 200

end

It comes up with:

moveto applied to NULL listener... i guess it means it cannot find my shine1? :(

If anyone could 'shine' a little light on the situation, it would be much appreciated :)

No errors at all, just a lack of coronas apart from the 'scripted' one, which doesnt move :(

I tried to spawn one in using script, but the same corona dissapearing effect happened :?

flypath

You can also try "$shine1 flypath $shinepath". I have not had much luck moving coronas because they look different if the angle they are viewed is changed.

Heheh, coronas are down right mongrels and thats a fact. :?
Try this method, it's much easier i think.

Code: Select all

local.brush = spawn script_object
local.brush.origin = ( $shine1.origin )
local.brush.angles = ( $shine1.angles )
local.brush setsize ( -10 -10 -10 ) ( 10 10 10 )
local.brush notsolid
local.brush targetname "shine_vehicle"

$shine1 bind $shine_vehicle

$shine_vehicle followpath $shinepath
Grassy, hope that works for ya.
