Mine is ... some new mixed with some old pieces:

Mainboard: ECS K7S5A+
Processor: AMD Athlon 1GHz (So-called 'thunderbird')
Graphics: ATI Radeon 8500LE 128MB
Screen: LG Flatron 775FT
Memory: 368MB SDRAM PC133
Hard Drive: Western Digital 160GB 8M cache (40ntfs/80fat32)
Optical Drive: LG DVD+-RW 4120B
Sound: On-Board C-Media AC97
Network: On-Board SiS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet
O/S: Windows XP Professional SP1a
Connection: 5Mbps DSL

Mainboard supports up to AMD XP 2400+, which will on soon for cheap buck and has 2 SD(133) and 2 DDR(266) slots, each supporting 512MB memsticks. upgrading memory when I'll upgrade the proc. ;)

Video card will be fine for PA, it's in the tested cards list. I traded it for my old Asus ge-force2 GTS 32mb with my ex-girlfriend. She bought it but didn't look if it was supported by her mb... which wasn't... (sweet peacefull revenge )

I will also put a sound card in instead of using the on-board and get a new speakers set for surround sound, it's about time ;)

Until i upgrade my hardware, no PA for me. Enough video memory but the rest doesn't follow so i get crappy gameplay with even smaller games... :(

I just got home from a computer fair, I bought:

This case: The one at the bottom with a 550w PSU http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/X_Mac_.html

This fan: http://www.casetech.co.uk/product_info. ... ts_id/1147

In the morning hopefully the stuff I ordered the other day will arrive, which is:

Mobo: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_sp ... m&class=mb

Processor: http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?op=m ... =63&page=1

Memory: I got the 512 PC4000 option, second from bottom of page http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/ ... _Kits.html

Im gonna use the hard drive, soundcard and cd drives from my old machine, when I get spare cash I want to get a pair of sata hard drives, 80gb each would be nice, will also get another 512 of ram when I can afford it but saw a lovely 21 inch monitor for ?100 at the computer fair, might have to get that before the drives or ram.

I cant wait for my new toy :) feel like an 7 yr old on Christmas eve :P

Woo Yay,

I got all my parts, I usually get my neighbour to build my machines, I humped all the gear over to his place and no one was home :(

I couldnt wait so I got home, opened all the manuals, started bolting stuff together and here I am.

I only had it running for 10-15 mins, cant see any reall difference yet, all I did was open IE and come here.

Gonna install COD UO, will let you know how it goes :)

Heres an update,

it is playing COD perfectly, not installed mohaa yet as I let me friend borrow my disks months ago :?

I had to buy a dvd reader yesterday so I could play half life.

I have two problems so far, the dual channel ram isnt working, I can only get it to run as single channel, im working on it and hope I can correct it as it was the whole point of getting this mobo, also the dvd reader has gone mad, it ejects, closes randomly all the time, have not been ablt to fix that yet either, so its not perfect yet but hope I can sort it all out.

I still need to hook up the front usb's and headphone socket and get my drive LED to flash :) but hey its working

Have a good look at your mobo manual, maybe you missed something somewhere for the led and ram, some physical jumpers maybe? Wrong BIOS options set?
