I am currently making a clan intro for my clan (duh!)... almost done... but i'm lookin for a good song that will match the intro. I can't honestly think of anything and was wondering if you guys might be able to help!
Specifications:
-Nothing by Disturbed (everyone uses them.)
-A slower paced song... sad (depressing?) but picks up for an action part about 1m30sec into it (doesn't have to if you cant find one that close...

)
-Not an outrageously long song (unless you know of a way to trim it

)
If nothing else... just give me a good song that will 'Pump you up' ,

... i can always change the intro to fit the song too!

I have a few ideas for songs. They are instrumental which I personally like for intros. Do you have a way to edit length and such? Here is a couple I can think of right now:
Artist: Alexisonfire
Song: 44. Caliber Love Letter
^^I used that for an intro awhile ago, worked good.
Artist: The Killing Tree
Song: Soundtrack to A Failing Relationship
Artist: All that Remains
Song: Regret Not
^^Thinking of using this myself but If you like it go ahead.
I have more, just can't remember...Ill list some when I do.

How about Linkin Park's One Step Closer?

Or its remix, 1stp Klosr?
I used the second one as a soundtrack to a Counter-Strike film I "shot" at de_dust2 with my friends. It just might not fit the theme.

True gizzard kid

... it would help... and i would have done that but the intro is pretty big... really big for an intro (WITHOUT MUSIC!)

(around 7mb! Im working on condensing it.. big time..)
meaning that it might just take up lots of time to upload it to a site... than for you to load the huge file.... i dunno

. Ill explain it a bit..
Like i said, its a slower paced intro.. the words that are going through it is a pretty long poem, here is an excerpt from 2 parts of the poem.. dunno if it will help:
This is the beginning 5 lines of the poem.
Code: Select all
Laying low in a blood filled trench
Your hopes are low, your body tense.
on your face, you can feel the rain.
Your death comes to thought..
A relief from the pain.
and a part right before the intro picks up speed:
Code: Select all
You stand your ground for the very last time,
gun is ready as you stand in line.
nervous wait for the whistle to blow
rush of blood and over you go...
The poem is about 34 lines long. The total length of the intro will be 2min 35 seconds.

Did you consider how lond a person will need to wait in order to view your intro? Espcially if a 56ker comes to your site...they will be looking at a black screen for a longtime. Condensing it would be a good idea.

yes yes i know. but like most intros.... you can chose to wait or continue on. I actually think the intro is well worth the wait
Ill have to see what happens...

No... its not the file type, it's .mp3 and other .mp3 songs can upload... im going to see if maybe it's the size of the file... but than again it does say:
One ore more files were not uploaded because there was a problem reading them.
Eh...
Does anyone know how i can 'edit' the song and cut off the last 2 minutes of it?

There are many ways to do it. If you've got Nero, run the Nero Wave Editor. If not, grab some sound editor like Soundforge or Goldwave. Actually, you can do that even with just the windoze audio recorder.

i use Windows Sound Recorder, get to the point you want, and hit edit>delete after this point. and it's gone.
