I'm happy to announce that my recreation of Neuville from Call of Duty is complete and ready to download (Spearhead or Breakthrough only).

If you want to see some screenshots, you can find a few at my website:

I hope that you like the map, and if you have any questions, comments, or feedback, then don't hesitate to talk to me. My biggest concern at the moment for this map is the framerates. I've tested it on three computers and have had positive results, but if you feel that the frames aren't satisfactory, I'll do some extra optimising.

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. My preview topic didn't get too many replies, but I hope at least a few of you will take a look. :)

If you're using firefox, it won't work. It works fine for me and my friends with IE.

Now, this IS odd. My buddies and I use firefox, and it wouldn't work for any of us, but it worked fine when we switched to IE, so I just figured that would hold constant to you guys. :P

If you're having toruble with the original link, then try this one:

Worked fine for me and Im using firefox. Nice map by the way, one thing...the first time I jumped I jumped over a hedge and off the map. :? Maybe it was one of a time super jumps where you get extra height or something becuase I couldn't do it again.

I sure hope so, because I player clipped the hedges at a height that would make jumping over them very difficult. As it stands, I have a trigger underneath the map to kill anyone that menages to venture that far.

I'm glad you liked it!

Did you compile the map with light? All I get is the vis part of the map.

Do you mean that the .bsp is missing? I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean.

Yes, I compiled with standard lighting.

I downloaded from first link in FF just fine.

Neuville was a good map if I recall - I don't have too many good memories from COD. (I am not being sarcastic either...)

I will check it out - post comments - blah blah...

I downloaded it, and there is no dynamic lighting. Just the brush world. Weird.

Ran through the map, here are some thoughts.

First: low FPS. My highest was 45. Lowest 14.6

Second: The map doesn't seem as depressed and war torn as the COD version. The textures made it look happy. I suggest making the map a litter darker and deeper.

I got nightmares of "A Walk in the Park" when I played this. (WITP is the worst map ever IMO, no offense to the creator.)

Third: The map layout is good, just like COD as far as I can remember. But the borders of the map look really bland. The design is good. The torn part of the road looks good too.

Good job on the map. If you don't like my opinions than please ignore me. :)

Just downloaded it and found an error already in the readme file ( that was nicely informative, good job ): using fast vis for a mat that is to be released is just silly. You can probably raise FPS a great deal with a proper VIS compile.

OK: I'll take a look at the actual map now :)
