Hi.
I have an idea: Is it possible to make a surface (a window) that reflects sunlight (or any other light) so, that the player gets "blind" when looking at it from a specific point(angle).
Get it?
Tnx for all your anwsers.(i just know i will get some)

Well, i'm not sure about reflection, but you'd probably have to make an independant light source - viewable from 1 direction... hmmmz could have some kinda mesh thing...
Hey and i worked out what your avatar is... its drumsticks, right?

if you look at the window texture natestahwin (in-game), you actually DO see a reflection, but, you have to imliment it by shader or something.... its reflection i a winter forest.. you can see it and it really does look like its whats being reflected.. just take a screenie of what is around the window and 'viola'! a reflection ater implimentation of a .shader
hmm i think his avatar is chess pieces.. ialways thought that...

It's not a reflection though. It's just an appearance of a reflection. Hence why it's a set picture such that you still see winter trees in windows of maps with no snow.

exactly. they dont reflect, MOHAA and Quake 3 have no reflections coded into them. another reason why we cant make mirrors or cameras.
it's just a blurred/smeared image of a winter forest.

Well it doesn't matter if it is a reflection or not. It just has to make harder to hit someone in that window.(like looking in the sun)
Could i make a texture/flare that shows up(fade not just pop up) when you look at it from a specific angle?
Examples maybe? Or a more detailed guide. - I do understand the way it works but i do not have a clue how to do (map) it.
And Mj got it. Its drumsticks!

Bullcrap.

Open Q3 and run the training mission and you see a nice, big mirror right in front of you.

'Bullcrap' isn't a nice word, but u're right: Q3 has mirrors. Mohaa however does not.

It's not really a mirror, it's a camera.

The developers just removed it out the engine,
here is a portal surface in q3:
Some of us already tried the same thing in mohaa but it doesn't work (even I tried), u just see the same stuff as you're out the skybox:
