I am sorry that this has nothing to do with mapping at all but I really need help. I tryed to uninstall MOHAA and it didnt work. So i deleted some files. I can still play MOHAA but when I try to install expasion packs it says MOHAA does not exist, you need to install it first. I feel so retarted! I am very sorry that this is un related to mapping but you people seem to have the greatest knowledge. Is there anyway I can retrieve those files after they have alkreayd been deleted from my recycle bin?

The rycycle bin was the last stop, so sorry...

Weird you can't uninstall mohaa :S, you really tried "uninstall MoHaa" ?
However, find the setup or install exe on your mohaa cd and run it, the still existing files would be just overwrited, and the lost files replaced.

Anyway, next time you may post in Off Topic or General Discussion with such topic .

The conventional MoHAA Uninstall does not completely remove MoHAA.
There are still registry entries after an uninstall that need to be deleted.
If they are not deleted, a reinstall will not work.
You need to open your registry editor and search for MoHAA and Medal of Honor Allied Assault and manually delete the ab entries.

After that, you can reinstall MoHAA, instead of simply getting the "repair" option.
Then you'll be able to install your expansion packs.

I suggest making a backup of your registry before editing it.

Thank you very much. But on the MOHAA site it says that messing with the registry keys is very risky. Would you suggest it? If so, wher do I find those keys?

It is very risky, that is why making a backup is important. You may want to do a system restore point before messing with registry as well.

go to run and type regedit and look for the moh keys, should be under software somewhere.

Okay thanks. What do I do to make backup files, jsut copy and paste or something? And then once I find the MOHAA keys (there should be three, correct?) I just delete it? Then after that, I have to re-install MoHAA? I tahnk everyone for their responses.

I hav enever myself made a backup of the registry but I would assume that you just export a copy anywhere on your computer or to a disk. The mohaa keys are under local_machine, software, eagames, mohaa...think there is three. This is how it is for me anyways.

Good Luck
