Simple Patch Mesh problem

When I make "Simple Patch Mesh" and then I do "Inverted Endcap" its all messed up and stuff and it dosnt look right! any ideas as to why?

Try turning it 90 degrees before you do the end cap.

you mean the texture? Use natural or something I use the middle mouse button on a wall that it is part of with the arch selected.

Delete it and start over. Check for ivisible brushes (the big thing) and delete them too. Working with end caps sometimes leaves bits and peices that you can only see from one side, or not at all. You can normally get them to show by using one of the general selection tools--like Selection > Select Inside.

Make sure the side of the patch (thin line) is showing in the XZ front view of the 2D window. Then do the inverted end cap.

Following on from this, I've never got this to work either. As sooon as I select Inverted Endcap, the patch mesh turns into a small func+group box.
Can anyone help me?

yeah i clicked in the Front veiw and saw the line and then with the Front veiw selected I tried inverted endcap it still didnt work

hmm before you hit inverted endcap try fliiping the thing's x... works for me

oh and make sure your patch has 5x3 or 3x5 depending on which way it is turned (y)
