you dont set a TIKI in a script, you set that in a different pk3 in main. main>models>weapons>.tik

but you should put it in a pk3 for organization and releasing reasons ;)

if your wanting to add grenade ammo boxes on the map,just spawn them

Code: Select all

                       level waittill spawn
//ammo_box-----------------------------------------------------------------
local.ammo_box = spawn script_model targetname grenade_ammo
local.ammo_box model "models/items/item_grenade_ammobox.tik"
local.ammo_box.origin = ( xxx.xx xxx.xx xxx.xx ) //<--coords
local.ammo_box.angles = ( 0 0 0 )

end
if not,edit the shader/tik file that deals with grenades and put it in a folder named exactly what the file name you editing is.and you just cant stick it in the main folder and hope it works.
main>models>weapons>nameoftik.tik
whats the name of the .tik your editing ?

i think he just wants to place a grenade somewhere,

Code: Select all

spawn item/ammobox/grenade.tik "origin" "x y z"

if you dont specify an angle for an object does it set it to 0 0 0 default?

yes. it sets all params to default, origin to 0 0 0, angles to 0 0 0, $targetname to whatever it is, liek t1 t2 t3 and all that.

so if you dont specify the $targetname of an entity you spawn, and there are no other enities in the map, the things $targetname is $t1?

Nah, if you don't set a targetname yourself the entity just doesn't have it.
