mirror player

Post by lizardkid »

is it possible to have an ai_actor somehow mirror the player's moves? like i set ai_actor in a room, player in another. ai_actor moves it's origins jsut like the player does. i dont need angles, just origin. is it possible?

Yes.. but it won't be affected by leaning or looking up/down.

Should just be a question of reading

Code: Select all

$the_player.origin
And transfer that value to the origin of the ai.

With offset maintained of course, otherwise the ai will be at the same origin of the player :D
And what happens if the players origin goes out of the bounds of the ai's movable area? You would have to monitor if payer istouching an entity and do the sums only if istouching is true.
