NightMods

Does anyone know how to do scripting for nightmods? I would like to do this for AA/SH/BT maps on an objective Freeze Tag server (in case that matters). Also when you put in a night mod is there a way to regulate how dark it makes the map? For example, on a map that already has some dark spots can you darken those spots less than other ones?

You can't change the map's lighting because it is added when the map is compiled (created).

You can change the fog thickness and color by adding lines to each map's script.

There's recently been a server-side Stalingrad mod at mohfiles.com that changed it to night. Check it out.

Add this to your main folder.

Then in console to turn it on type: night 1 & restart
To turn off type: night 0 & restart

All that does is add a dark farplane. You cannot have a true night mod work serverside for any of the MOH games.

Really I'm asking this because I saw it on a SoH (Soldiers of Honor I think) server. How did they get the maps to have the dark farplane if that thing david said is done in the client console? Can it be done on the server too?

Ok so screw the night thing and on to something else. Is there a way to put movable tanks on a stock map and make them server side?

For the dark farplane (simulated night) you would add this below level waittill spawn.

$world farplane # ( # needs to be low to simulate darkness )
$world farplane_color "0 0 0"


For the tanks, there are mods out there right now that do just that. You can copy and paste from theirs and redo the pathnodes for yours. Check www.mohfiles.com

I'm sorry where does that dark farplane command go? I'm not sure where to find that waittill thing.

That's the part I'm not sure of! What does he mean? Also I could not find any mods on MOH Files that allowed players to drive tanks on stock maps.

Well I happen to be the world's most stubborn person m8 so I intend on making one. Will someone plz explain to me where to right that dark farplane thing? I've only done client mods before so I'm new to scripting and need a lot of "GUIDANCE". :lol:

man, all the mods (server and/or clientside) for driveable tank suck... their all buggy.. ALL OF THEM!
